I believe this is the last of the unpublished October pictures... our corn maze adventure.
This particular day was
ridiculously sunny. I decided to finally try a polarized filter... I had read that these filters could be tricky, as you need to alter your camera settings to compensate for the "sunglasses" covering your lens. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't too bad.
You know how the sky always looks pale blue or white in photos, when in reality, it's a beautifully rich blue? Look at the difference between the contrails and the sky above. The polarized filter is the only thing making the sky so blue (no editing involved). I think I'll definitely be using this filter a lot next summer.

Lucas insisted on leading the way... we got lost... for a long time. Jack somehow stayed asleep in my Mei Tai wrap the entire time! |
|
Lucas got his first experience peeing outdoors... I mean, we were really lost... who knew how long it would take us to find our way back to the barn? |
|
We finally found a lookout tower that gave us a cheater's vantage point. Okay, not really. We were still lost. |
|
We made it out! ...after an hour and a half of walking in circles, we treated ourselves to the biggest roundest pumpkin we could find :) |
