Our Airport!

I had so many diaper boxes saved up for projects that I wanted to do.  A few days ago, Lucas was in tears because he couldn't go to Daddy's work and tell airplanes to "go this way and that way!"

...so we made an airport :)

Of course, every airport must have a terminal.

This is Lucas waiting to board

The ticket counter

Lucas insisted that there be an airplane garage :) I added in the baggage handler...

"Airplanes!  Go this way and go that way!"

Depending on what he wanted the airplanes to do, he could lift a flap to tell them to take off...
...or land.

Have you made something out of cardboard recently?

  1. That is too cute! Isn't it crazy how you can buy the most awesome toy in the world, but kids will still go for that cardboard box?! ;) Super cute blog, I'm about to follow you on Facebook! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog for a visit :)

    1. I know! Of all the cool toys he had, his favorite baby toys were a hair brush and a half-full water bottle :). Thanks for the "Like"! I'm following you back. Oh, and I think I'm going to use the link map for a menu bar (so I can style it my way :)

  2. Oh my goodness, I LOVE Your airport, for some reason I am particularly taken by the landing strip. Simple, but fab.

Thanks for sharing on Kids Get Crafty!

    1. Thanks for hosting! My mother-in-law actually jazzed it up the next day with some blue painter's tape. I'll have to post pictures of her additions (they were pretty cool).
