Rock Candy

I'm going to start collecting simple science experiments ideas. It takes up time during the day, and it's something fun, educational, and hands-on that I can do with Lucas (and Jackson when he's older).

Today we started making rock candy. I found the recipe for it on Teaching Tiny Tots. I had no idea so much sugar could go into hot water before it stopped dissolving! Lucas watched from his perch on the counter and said, "Sugar all gone?". I think he gets the idea! What the poor kid doesn't realize is that it's going to take several days of watching before we can eat the "rock cannee"...
